The importance of skill.

Skill may be required in the follow-up and organisation of labour, in the inspection and approval of completed work, in the organisation and coordination of work, in the supervision of main and sub-contractors’ work to improve construction worker productivity. As a strategy both motivation and skill development may be required for building capacity and improving work productivity globally.

WHO WE ARE

Quantum Executive Education Pty Ltd. (QEE) has had a vision for the fourth industrial revolution. As such QEE has embarked on the development of a cloud technology in relation to executive education and training of the youth in ways that create wealth and reduce poverty. The proposed cloud technology will be developed such that it will have the capacity to accommodate a whole educational system of a country. QEE also supports the growing South African interest in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics-STEMs and hopes to contribute solutions to the same.

What We Do.

Executive Education (Pty) Ltd, is a skills development company that specialises in skills capacity building at the entrance of employment opportunities and professional roles and further education and training to enter tertiary training. As such business organisations such as private companies, Co-operatives and small businesses through our executive training facilitation are able to improve skills of their staff and the general work force. The company was incorporated in 2014, and provides training in research skills, strategic skills, entrepreneurial skills, STEMs skills, business and project management skills and other business-related skills.

The executive members of Quantum Executive Education (Pty) Ltd and 3 in number, namely Dr Marcellus Orando, Dr Anthony Isabirye, and Dr. Rebecca Alowo whose roles areas given below;

Dr Marcellus Orando

Dr Marcellus Orando serves as a managing director and has been working in the construction industry, in government public works department, public enterprises, and private sectors in both East Africa and in the SADC countries for past 43 years. Experience, knowledge, and skill gained from working as a construction cost accountant traditionally known as a quantity surveyor, are important in the study of entrepreneurship generally. Entrepreneurship is important in creating businesses such as cooperatives and SMMEs in South Africa.

In the last 14 years Dr Orando has had a post-graduation study in human organisations for productivity including construction project management, construction contracts, construction law, construction claims and arbitration of disputes. He also studied land and property development science graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy degree.

He is currently mentoring and evaluating professional training of some of the quantity surveying candidates of the South African Council for Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP). Dr Orando has acquired a lot of business skills and knowledge and would be able to implement and impart knowledge and skills needed for development and sustenance of cooperatives and SMMEs.

Dr AK. Isabirye

Dr. Isabirye is a professional educator/trainer, HR practitioner and assessor; registered with the South African Council of Educators (SACE), the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) and the Education and Training Sector (EDTP-SETA). He holds Doctorate degree in Education, and two master’s degrees in Human Resource Management and education. He has vast experience and knowledge in teaching, learning facilitation, quality assurance processes, and mechanisms in higher education, Human resource, and labour relations management.

He is also well versed with policies and legislations governing and guiding Human resource/ labour relations management; and knowledge concerning the Out-Comes Based Education (OBE), FET Act, ODL, e-learning, distance education, PMFA, the National Curriculum statement, examination. His expertise further manifests itself in strategic planning and development, administration, project development, management and evaluation, qualitative research, report writing and presentation, communication, apt decision-making, and problem solving. Dr Anthony Isabirye serves as course development director responsible for training, curriculum development and design. During his working career, he has acquired a lot of business skills and knowledge and he is now regarded as a specialist in human capital development and training and would be able to implement and impart knowledge and skills needed for development and sustenance of cooperatives and SMMEs.

Dr. Rebecca Alowo

Rebecca Alowo is the Senior Consultant Research Studies, she is also a Lecturer of Water Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering Technology, University of Johannesburg, Doornfontein Campus. She holds a doctorate in civil engineering from Central University of Technology, she also holds masters from University of Cambridge in Engineering for Sustainable Development and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Makerere university in Kampala Uganda. She is a candidate with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers (UIPE). Her doctoral studies were on sustainable groundwater management through modelling of selected hydrological parameters: a case study of the Modder River catchment of South Africa. Her findings were that it is necessary to develop groundwater sustainability models using Artificial Intelligence for groundwater monitoring to make informed decisions for improved groundwater management.

She has over ten years progressive experience in Engineering, Natural Resource Management, and research, on emerging sustainable development issues and themes. She has worked in planning, leading comprehensive development strategies, creation of monitoring/evaluation tools and steering the execution of impact assessment programmes in support of various Global Goals.

She has a passion to demonstrate success in driving growth in development programmes through the implementation of key projects. She is always open to solid leadership skills: she desires to build businesses, guide partners/partnerships and work with diverse teams. She is always keen to communicate with management, strategic partners, alliances, and internal departments to coordinate overall efforts. She embraces outstanding interpersonal skills.
